We are currently recruiting for a full-time Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Preston area. This is a long-term position and would be ideal for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire pupils through engaging, practical and creative Music lessons.
The Role
As the successful Music Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Supporting pupils in developing their practical, theoretical and creative musical skills
- Preparing students for assessments and examinations at KS4
- Creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages pupils of all abilities to participate
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
- Contributing to the wider Music department and, where appropriate, supporting extracurricular activities
- Teaching KS5 Music, if experienced and confident to do so
The Ideal Music Teacher
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Music education
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with a range of abilities
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to supporting pupils' academic and personal development
- Experience teaching Music at KS5 would be highly desirable, but is not essential
