Part-time English teacher (0.4) required for a Wigan based secondary school in September 2019.

  • English teacher required on a part-time basis (0.4) from September 2019.
  • Employment is being offered for 2 terms initially with a view to extension.
  • Teaching English to pupils aged 11-16 at GCSE level.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £23,720-£39,406.
  • Must hold QTS specialising in English.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our client secondary school are now seeking to appoint a confident and engaging teacher to join them on a part-time basis from September 2019. Teachers of all experience levels are encouraged to apply as regular training and CPD opportunities will be provided.

Applicants wishing to be considered must be able to work closely with other experienced English specialists within the schools English department to ensure that all students are receiving 'Outstanding' levels of education and teaching on a regular basis.

The incoming teacher will be result orientated, have a high expectation of their pupils and be able to stretch the learning of students no matter what their ability in order to attain excellent results at GCSE level. Enthusiastic and passionate teacher's that are able to teach English in an manor that will generate enthusiasm amongst their students are highly desired.

Our client Secondary school have recently appointed a new Leadership Team and are run by two National Leaders of Education. They have taken the responsibility of recruiting new staff that share the same vision, commitment and determination to raising standards across all levels and abilities and to further contribute to the progress of the students within school.

The school is smaller than average Secondary school and currently has around 680 students on roll. Located in the centre of Wigan, the school has an abundance of public transport links from the surrounding areas. If commuting by car then the school has onsite car parking and is just minutes away from the A58.
