One-to-One Intervention Specialists Required

Are you looking for a change from the usual classroom teaching? Do you want a rewarding role, delivering small group and one-to-one intervention to students unable to attend mainstream education?

Teaching Personnel have a close working relationship with a number of Pupil Referral Units and Council Services across Hull and East Riding, that put in place tuition and intervention packages for Looked After Children and those excluded or not suited to mainstream education environments. For LAC, the tuition takes place after the during or after the School day, usually at the student's home with a parent/guardian present. Intervention can take place at the School or Alternative Provision, at a local Community Centre or at other learning centres in the county.

Have you previously worked with SEN students, including ASC, MLD, SEMH or PD? If so, Teaching Personnel want to hear from you! There are a few minimum requirements: - You must hold QTS or overseas equivalent - Have at least 12 months experience in an education based position - Be outgoing and charasmatic, with the ability to engage students into lessons - Subject Specialism to be English, Maths, Science or Humanities - A track record of improving attainment levels at GCSE or Key Stage 2 SATs levels - Sound knowledge of examination boards; AQA, WJEC, OCR or Edexcel You must hold a Child Only Enhanced DBS that is registered to The Update Service, or be willig to apply for a new one through Teaching Personnel.
