Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: South Birmingham (various mainstream secondary schools)
Job Type: Flexible / Full-time & Part-time opportunities available

About the Role:
We are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools in the South Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future in teaching or already have classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and that a positive learning environment is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students to stay engaged with their work

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is highly desirable

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A confident and proactive approach

  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and subjects

Additional Information:

  • A valid driving licence is not essential but is highly desirable due to the variety of school locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
