Location: York
Salary: £25,252.50 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team in York. You will lead a team of Early Years Practitioners to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, support and develop a team of Early Years Practitioners, promoting teamwork, motivation and professional growth.

Oversee the daily running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, safety and education.

Act as Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met and progress is effectively tracked.

Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals.

Contribute to planning, observations and assessments to ensure all children are supported in reaching their full potential.

Ensure all York Childcare policies and procedures are implemented and upheld at all times.

Requirements
-
Proven experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
-
Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
-
Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
