Nursery Nurse needed in Truro

Nursery Nurse wanted in the Truro area!

What qualifications do I need?

You will be required to have at least a level three in a recognised childcare qualification, and GCSE's in Maths and English are desired.

Recognised qualifications are:

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education
  • BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
  • Other relevant nursery/early years qualifications will be considered

What Key skills shall I hold?

  • A caring, nature
  • A passion to work with young children and education
  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety and hygiene
  • A good understanding of the curriculum
  • A positive, can-do, enthusiastic approach to tasks

What will I be doing on a daily basis as a Nursery Nurse?

  • Planning creative lessons that engage the children and assist all development
  • Assisting children to develop their numeracy and literacy skills
  • Preparing lessons such as Music, Art and outdoor activity that inspires the children
  • Reading stories to large groups of children as well as them reading to you
  • Monitoring children and maintaining cleanliness and safety all day
  • Providing effective safeguarding day to day
  • Caring to children's general needs
  • Assisting a Supporting Learner with their progression
