We are in search of forward-thinking, compassionate, proactive, and dynamic nursery assistants to become part of our supply pool to support local nurserys, committed to nurturing children under 5 years old. We promote an innovative approach to childhood development, fostering an environment where children can freely explore their boundaries and perceptions, follow their imagination wherever it takes them, and harness their creativity to enhance their learning experiences.

The ideal Nursery Assistant should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Proficiency in planning and observing Early Years children, fostering their development and progress.
  • The ability to facilitate child development through careful observation and assessment.
  • Competence in providing personal care to children as needed, tailored to individual requirements within various settings.

Additional desirable skills include:

  • Aptitude for speech and language therapy or development.
  • An energetic and vibrant approach to childcare.
  • A caring and nurturing personality.
  • Strong observational skills for speaking and listening.
  • A cheerful and engaging demeanor that aligns with the nurturing atmosphere of a nursery environment.

The Role:

Our Nursery Assistants are expected to work in various Nurserys partnered with Teaching Personnel in Grimsby and the surrounding areas. Having access to transportation is preferred, and flexibility in scheduling is essential to accommodate both planned and short-notice bookings.

Your daily responsibilities will revolve around small groups of children under your care or as part of a team supporting a larger group. As a Nursery Class Assistant, your role includes engaging children in daily activities designed to enhance their development and tracking their progress. You will plan your activities with a focus on aligning with developmental expectations and individual abilities. Basic behavior management skills are necessary to maintain an effective learning environment.

With your caring, loving, and passionate approach, you will create a secure and joyful space for children to explore their potential, ensuring they feel included and valued throughout their journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
