Newly Qualified Teacher? Looking to build you experience in Special Educational Needs Schools?

Teaching Personnel are looking for newly qualified teachers who have a passion for supporting children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in the Doncaster area. (EYFS-KS2)

It is an exciting opportunity to develop you CV and build your experience within your desired settings. Children in your classes with likely:

  • have little or no speech
  • find it very difficult to learn new skills
  • need support with daily activities such as dressing, washing, eating and keeping safe
  • have difficulties with social skills
  • need life-long support

You will positively impact the lives of children through your ability to teach, surrounded by a welcoming network of staff. You will be supported by teaching assistants and a specialist SEN Recruitment Consultant who can give you the best advice through your professional development. You will have the opportunity to engage in many training courses such as Team Teach (increasing staff confidence and competence in responding to behaviours that challenge) and Moving and Handling (the safe movement and assistance of children around school). Schools will take great pride in helping you in the next steps of your career.

You will need:

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
  • Relevant qualifications and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience in class or supporting individuals with additional needs in settings such as care homes
  • A drive to make a difference to the lives of young people!
