Music teaching role in Derby – February 2020 start – July 2020 - KS3/KS4 

KS3/KS4 Music teacher required for Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Secondary school in Derby

Rate: GBP110 - GBP185 per day depending on experience.

Are you a creative and passionate PE Teacher, looking for a new opportunity in a secondary school in a ‘Good’ Secondary school in Derbyshire? Teaching Personnel are looking for you!

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Music Teacher to join an average sized secondary school, from February 2020.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Secondary School in Derby, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school prides itself on being at the heart of its community and being caring, friendly and strongly inclusive. They encourage positive relationships built around honesty and respect, and challenge students to work hard and celebrate their achievements.

The role itself will involve the delivery of lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed improving results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will deliver excellent lessons by ensuring they use a creative and engaging approach, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!

The ‘Good Secondary school are looking for a Music Teacher that can deliver lessons in KS3 and KS4, who has excellent subject knowledge, as well as the ability to build rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.

The suitable candidate will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • You CV must have 6 years employment history 
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
