Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join specialist SEN and SEMH primary schools across Portsmouth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the education, development and wellbeing of primary-aged children with additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs

• Support primary-aged pupils with SEN and SEMH needs

• Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals

• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils

• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development

• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of abilities and additional needs

• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience

• Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEN and SEMH pupils

• Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education

• Have excellent communication and behaviour-management skills

• Be committed to helping every child reach their individual potential

• Have a nurturing and flexible approach to teaching

ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support available.
