Full-time music teacher required in Bournemouth

  • Working in a secondary school most recently graded 'good' by OFSTED
  • Full-time, temporary contract with possible permanent offer (for the right person)
  • M3 FTE +

A secondary school in Bournemouth are currently seeking to appoint a teacher of music capable of teaching at Key Stage 3, KS4, GCSE and A Level. This presents an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or a main scale teacher to join a supportive and committed school who are passionate about the teaching and learning of this subject.

The school is an oversubscribed ‘all through school’ that was deemed GOOD by Ofsted in its most recent OFSTED inspection. It is a school with a tradition of success, oversubscribed every year and benefitting from a deservedly positive reputation in the local community. Relationships with families are affirming and constructive, with parents and carers keen to support the school and the children’s learning.

The school would encourage applications from individuals who are committed to comprehensive and inclusive education, to developing their practice through collaboration with colleagues and to delivering high standards and success through high expectations. They are looking for teachers who have a clear pastoral commitment, able to get to know their students quickly and tailor the teaching to meet their needs.

If this describes you, please send your CV to James.Marsh@teachingpersonnel.com. The closing date for this role is Monday 10th October. If you are invited to attend for interview, there will be an expectation that all candidates will teach a lesson. Provided candidates reach the necessary standard in this part of the selection process, then they will be invited for the final interview in the afternoon.

In order to apply for this role, you must hold UK accredited qualified teachers status and have recent school or college based teaching experience. All applicants must currently hold, or apply for, a DBS certificate registered on the DBS update service. Please contact our branch today if you have any questions
