Music Teacher - Bury

Do you have experience as a Music Teacher? Are you looking for a new role for September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Bury to aid them in recruiting a Music Teacher starting in September 2019 for one term, with the potential to continue on.

  • Full-time temporary role for one term, with a possibility of this continuing
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications within Music
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Supporting students at various levels of learning
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Music teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided
  • Opportunity to work in a 'Good' Ofsted rated Secondary school

Working as a Music Teacher in our client school, responsibilities will include:

  • Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Music
  • Assessing and evaluating class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives
  • Planning, preparing and delivering Music lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning
  • Guiding pupils with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties and implement strategies to help manage this behaviour
  • Promoting positive behaviour management skills amongst pupils and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies

Our client Secondary school is looking for a Music teacher who can aid pupils' attainment alongside providing behaviour management skills. Our client school does provide excellent behavioural support for their staff however; any experience with behaviour management training, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties will be highly valued.

Our client academy is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A58 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
