Our client secondary school located in the South Manchester area commutable from Didsbury, Fallowfield, Chorlton, Levenshulme and Rusholme is looking for a Music teacher to start with them following the Easter holiday. This is a full time Music teaching position for a dedicated Music teacher on a full time basis to fill an open vacancy. As a result, the school will be looking to advertise and recruit directly for a September start but should the successfully appointed Music teacher be looking for a long term, permanent position, there is the option to move onto a school based contract with this outstanding secondary school. The successful Music teacher applying will be working within a well resourced Music department alongside a team of creative and supportive teachers.

This outstanding secondary school is located in the South Manchester area with the successful Music teacher, teaching up to GCSE level at this 11 - 16 school. The school being situated where it is serves a multi cultural area of Manchester which is an integral part of the community and has been graded as an outstanding school.

Key aspects of this Music teaching position:

  • Full time Music teacher required , starting on Tuesday 23rd April
  • Initial supply assignment which is for the duration of the summer term until Friday 19th July with the view to progressing onto a school based contract
  • Pay: £575 - £775 per week in line with payscale and experience
  • Outstanding secondary school located in the South Manchester area with great support and a fantastic reputation in the local area
  • Easily accessible via public transport from the city centre and South Manchester areas of Stockport, Tameside, Didsbury and Trafford

As part of this school's Music department, you will benefit from a supportive head of department as well as a school that explores Music from the offset in year 7. The school follows the AQA syllabus at KS4 with the appointed Music teacher teaching across KS3 and at GCSE level.

The school invests a lot of time in the Expressive Arts, ensuring that students take part in all Expressive Arts in year 7, 8 and 9. This includes Drama, Music, Art and RE including different elements of music, different instruments as well as studying eras, composers and different musical genres.
