Music Teacher - Chesterfield

Music Teacher Person Specification

This post requires an inspirational Music Teacher who has the drive to deliver lessons with an enviable amount of enthusiasm. The right applicant will have a fun and vibrant classroom to allow pupils to achieve within the music curriculum. You will be a teacher who can keep your knowledge and understanding of the demands of teaching at its peak but stretching your pupil's attainment beyond the confines of the curriculum. The ideal individual should be able to manage behaviour effectively, identifying potential sources of trouble and supporting change in a positive and proactive manner.

About the Music Teacher Role

At this supportive school, as a Music Teacher you will be moving into a committed Arts Department. The Music department is known throughout the school for its fun approach and exciting teachers. The school offers a proactive CPD scheme coupled with a rigorous training scheme allowing for superb personal and professional development. In general, you will be teaching with the aid of a full time graduate Teaching Assistant who can help manage the class and prepare lessons. This department is led by a pioneering HOD.
