Moving and Handling Trained Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Hertfordshire

  • £60 + per day, depending on experience
  • Full-Time position available
  • New school building with excellent facilities

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on the behalf of a 'Good' Primary School located in Hertfordshire and they are in need of teaching assistants who are trained in Moving and Handling.

About The Role

The school needs specialist teaching assistants who are trained in manual handling to support pupils who are physically disabled to move around the school. You will also support the pupil in the classroom with the activities set by the Teachers.

About The School

This is a multi cultural, two-form entry school with over 40 different languages spoken. The school has a fantastic new building with a range of excellent facilities such as: an indoor heated swimming pool, a large all weather play pitch, an enclosed netball/basketball court, tennis court, soft play room, physiotherapy rooms and a large hall with a stage and sound and lighting system.

Also, the school has provisions for children with physical disabilities and an assessment centre for pre school children with complex needs.

The ideal candidate:

- Trained in Manual Handling

- Passionate about working with children to support their learning development

- At least 3 months experience supporting pupils with physical disabilities

- At least 3 months experience supporting pupils with a range of complex needs such as; Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy

- Good command of the English Language

- A valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application
