Mindfulness Mentor
Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Mindfulness Mentor for a school in the Bury area. The role would be working with children, primarily with SEMH, aged 6-14. Due to the impact of the Covid crisis closing schools, pupils with SEN have found it difficult settling back into school life resulting in a growing demand for staff to provide the social, emotional and mental support these students require. This would include a lot of 1 to 1 contact with young children finding it difficult to manage their emotional well being with all these changes happening around them.
The ideal candidate will ideally:
- Be a Counselling/Psychology Graduate
- Have previous experience in an SEN setting (not essential)
- Have a real enthusiasm for helping vulnerable children
- Have a strong and resilient character
What Teaching Personnel can provide:
- 24 years industry experience placing staff at schools
- Access to our discounted CPD academy
- An online diary so you can track and manage your workload
Please be aware that all candidates will be subject to background checks, such as DBS and satisfactory references.
This challenging new role will be able to supply the successful candidate with invaluable experience working with children with SEMH and is the perfect next step for a Counsellingpr Psychology graduate.
If you believe this is the role for you or if you have any questions, please contact louis.dixon@teachingpersonnel.com or phone 0161 242 1793.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
