Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Computing and ICT Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Durham, with an immediate start available. Computing is one of the most significant shortage subjects across the North East, and strong, qualified candidates will find no shortage of opportunity.

The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver confident lessons across both Computing and ICT at KS3 and KS4, bringing genuine subject knowledge and the ability to engage students in a curriculum that is increasingly central to their futures.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering Computing and ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching programming, digital literacy, and computer science concepts accessibly and engagingly
• Assessing student progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student engagement
• Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

To be considered:

• QTS or equivalent
• A degree in Computing, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience teaching Computing and/or ICT at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across both theoretical and practical elements
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
