Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking an MFL Teacher for a long-term assignment in a school in the Weston-Super-Mare area of North Somerset.

The school

This Academy is part of a larger, Bristol based trust that has a very good local reputation. You will be teaching in a state of the art building that has a transparent approach… literally. No walls on classrooms, staff rooms and even toilets (not the cubicles obviously). This promotes a mutual respect for teachers and students and it really works. 10 years ago this was one of the toughest schools in the county. Now teacher who go there comment on it's ethos, organisation and how well the RTL (Ready to Learn) behaviour policy works.

The role

This is a full-time role to start immediately, January 2019. However, for the right candidate it can be postponed until Feb half-term as they will get supply cover in the interim. The role is for the rest of the academic year. You will be teaching KS3 and 4 French and Spanish.

Requirements:

  • Qualified with PGCE or equivalent (SCITT of BEd)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • At least one year's UK teaching experience
  • The ability and passion to plan and deliver lessons and to engage children in developing their potential
  • Strong classroom management
  • Ability to build solid relationships with staff, parents and pupils
  • You will need to have a current DBS on the update service. If not, you will be required to apply for one

What we offer:

  • £100 - £160 per day
  • Candidate referral scheme - £50 per referral
  • A dedicated, expert consultant in branch providing a high level of customer service
  • No hidden admin, umbrella or pay fees. You take all you ear (minus tax and NI)
  • You are paid weekly direct into your account via PAYE

If you are interested, please contact me immediately. I look forward to hearing from you.
