An exciting opportunity to join the MFL department of a large secondary school in the Consett area, known for its consistent climb in performance tables. If you are a Spanish or French specialist, this may be the ideal role for you!
About the Role
- Full-time MFL teacher, teaching either Spanish or French
- Required from January 2021 until the end of the academic year
- Teaching across Key Stages Three and GCSE
- Delivering either Spanish or French in line with the AQA GCSE Exam Specification
- Paid in line with teaching scale – GBP24,373 - GBP40,490
Due to a restructure in the timetable, our client secondary school are currently looking to recruit an additional teacher to join their MFL provision. The incoming teacher will be working with pupils aged 11-16 and will be expected to teach a full timetable alongside planning and preparing dynamic lessons to suit the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning. The successful candidate will also be expected to assess and evaluate both class and home work and be comfortable in reporting this back to the head of department.
The successful candidate will ideally have a specialism in Spanish however any experience teaching Spanish or French will be considered. The successful candidate should have previous experience teaching MFL up to GCSE level. To be considered you must have QTS and a Teaching Qualification in a relevant language.
Our client school provides excellent behavioural support alongside the opportunity to embark on a number of training courses to improve skills further.
Our client school is located in Consett and can be accessed via the A68 and A1 from the surrounding areas such as Gateshead, Hexham Bishop Auckland as well as the A691 from Durham. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from these same neighbouring areas.
