MFL teacher - Wigan

Are you a MFL teacher looking to secure a part-time teaching role? Do you have experience teaching both French and Spanish?

If so, please see further details of an exciting (0.6) MFL teaching opportunity starting in November 2019.

  • MFL teaching position - French to GCSE with elements of Spanish
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,917 - £38,633)
  • Teaching KS3, KS4 and preparing students for key GCSE exams
  • To be considered for the post you must Hold QTS and a PGCE specialising within MFL

The school are looking for an experienced MFL teacher that has experience teaching both French and Spanish to students ranging from ages 11-16. You will have a track record of achieving excellent results at GCSE level and are able to teach engaging lessons that can help generate interactivity in class, making lessons more enjoyable for students. You will be taking on a full time table where you will have full marking and planning responsibilities.

  • The proportion of disadvantaged pupils is significantly higher than the national average and most pupils are of White British heritage.
  • The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is lower than the national average.
  • The school is situated in the centre of Wigan and is in an excellent location if you are travelling via public transport.
  • If commuting by car then the school has onsite car parking and is just minutes away from the A58.
  • Is smaller than the average Secondary school and currently has around 700 pupils on roll
