Job description

Teaching Personnel has been approached by a Pupil Referral Unit in Blackburn, who want to appoint a new behaviour support assistant to help those children who do not thrive in mainstream education.

The school caters for children who have SEMH difficulties and need extra support to build their confidence before their return to education. The school aims for each pupil to return to mainstream school with the capability to learn and therefore, have the capacity to embrace their education.

The school is looking for a very nurturing person who has the ability to help students think independently and grow emotionally and socially in their time in the provision.

A successful candidate should also be an excellent role model and able to build a strong rapport with all students to overcome challenges together and in a safe and efficient way. The school focuses on sharing and learning together so a candidate should be able to think collaboratively.

The pay for this role is GBP10 per hour.

The hours for this role are 8.15am – 2.45pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
