Specialist Maths Tutor for Vulnerable Pupils – 1:1 Tuition Role

Start Date: September 2025

We are currently recruiting Maths Tutors to deliver one-to-one tuition to children and young people in alternative provisions, looked after children (LAC), and pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. This position involves in-home teaching or delivery within specialist educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver tailored Maths sessions aligned with the UK curriculum
• Differentiate instruction based on pupil needs, including those with SEND/SEMH profiles
• Complete detailed reports after each session via our cloud-based reporting system
• Manage your own schedule and commute between venues

Essential Criteria:

• Expertise in the Maths curriculum across relevant key stages
• Experience working with vulnerable and high-needs learners
• Significant experience with ADHD, autism, PTSD, and behavioural challenges
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• QTS preferred, or a degree in a core subject with extensive tutoring experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
