Join Our Team as a Passionate Maths Tutor in Gateshead

Are you dedicated to helping students unlock their potential in maths? We’re seeking enthusiastic Maths Tutors to deliver personalised, one-on-one tuition outside the traditional classroom—either in students’ homes or local community hubs across Gateshead. Your support will help learners build confidence, improve skills, and achieve their academic goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver customised maths lessons tailored to each pupil’s unique needs and learning style.

  • Monitor and record student progress using our specialised cloud-based tracking system, providing regular feedback to promote continuous improvement.

  • Foster positive relationships, encouraging a growth mindset and boosting students’ self-belief.

  • Assist with exam preparation, homework support, and overall maths development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Maths at Key Stage 3 or 4.

  • Proven experience tutoring maths outside the traditional school environment, ideally with students who have additional learning needs.

  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to simplify complex concepts.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect and build trust with students.

  • Qualified Teacher Status in maths or equivalent tutoring experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
