Job description
Specialist Maths Tutor – 1:1 Tuition for Vulnerable Pupils
Start Date: September
We are seeking a skilled Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in alternative provisions, those at risk of exclusion, LAC, and previously excluded students. Tuition will be delivered in-home or in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths sessions tailored to individual needs
- Write clear, concise reports after each session using our cloud-based platform
- Adapt teaching to suit pupils with SEND/SEMH diagnoses (ADHD, autism, PTSD, behavioural needs)
- Manage your own diary and travel independently to tuition venues
Requirements:
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Maths across key stages (UK curriculum)
- Experience supporting vulnerable and high-needs learners
- Ability to drive and access to a car
- QTS desirable; a relevant degree and substantial experience also considered

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
