Job description

Maths Tutor – Flexible, 1:1 Tuition

Location: South Tyneside | Rate: £25–£35/hr | Flexible hours

Join TP Tutors to deliver impactful 1:1 Maths tuition for learners outside of mainstream education. Pupils may be in care, on part-time timetables or facing emotional, social or behavioural challenges.

Sessions focus on building confidence and closing the learning gap in preparation for exams or re-entry into education.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Recognised teaching or tutoring qualification

  • Enhanced child workforce DBS

  • Prior experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN or exclusions

  • Ability to adapt teaching for different needs and levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
