Job description

Functional Skills Maths Tutor – Empower Learners with TPTutors!

TPTutors specialises in engaging young people who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including looked after children. We provide flexible tutoring sessions delivered in their homes, care homes, or trusted community venues to ensure effective learning.

Tutor Requirements:

  • Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths Level 1 and 2
  • Patience and strong communication skills to support SEMH learners
  • Flexibility to tutor online or face-to-face in varied settings
  • Relevant teaching or tutoring experience

Tutor Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored sessions, based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback via our learning platform.
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a growth mindset and self-confidence in their abilities.
  • Support students in exam preparation, homework help, and improving their overall skills.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different levels of understanding and learning styles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
