Job description

Job Title: Maths Tutor – KS3 and KS4

Location: Newcastle and Surrounding Areas
Pay: Up to £35 per hour (depending on experience and student needs)

Are you confident teaching Maths and passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? We’re looking for a qualified Maths Tutor to support KS3 and KS4 pupils in schools across Newcastle.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver one to one Maths sessions to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs

  • Help pupils build confidence and improve their progress and attainment

  • Track and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A teaching qualification is essential (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, etc.)

  • QTS is strongly preferred

  • Experience tutoring or teaching Maths at KS3/KS4 level

  • Strong subject knowledge and communication skills

  • A flexible and patient approach to working with learners

  • Reliable and well-organised

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
