Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Maths teacher for an upcoming two term maternity in September 2019. This is a full time Maths teaching post delivering Maths across KS3 and KS4 so previous experience of this is essential, in addition to planning and marking responsibilities. The school achieved a Good graded Ofsted grading in all areas in 2016.
Large in size with around 1200 students on roll the school has a high percentage of students eligible for free school meals at 45% and has low levels of students who use English as an additional language at 12%.
Initially a temporary position for 2 terms from September to Easter through Teaching Personnel there is the option to become a permanent or fixed term member of staff following this. The school has modern state of the art facilities and teaching aids, a large Maths department with 12 full time Maths teachers and an experienced Head of Mathematics.
This large mixed comprehensive school is situated in the M34 Post code of Tameside easily accessible via the M60/M67 motorway with direct bus routes and a local train station half a mile away. The school are looking to appoint an inspirational Maths teacher who will impact positively on the students taught increasing their attainment and Progress 8 scores.
