Teacher of Mathematics

Milton Keynes

I am looking to recruit an experienced Mathematics teacher who has the talent, energy and enthusiasm to improve outcomes for students at a thriving alternative provision located in the heart of Milton Keynes. This post is ideally suited to a teacher who has taught Mathematics across various key stages and has the experience to raise student aspirations and progress in this subject area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an energetic and enthusiastic team of staff during a significant period of change at the school.

This is an opportunity for a well-qualified, driven professional, who is an outstanding classroom practitioner, to join this school. You will need to be an inspiring teacher with the creativity to support the mathematics department. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of students and share the school's beliefs in the highest standards of academic achievement in an inclusive setting. You will be an excellent teacher with the ability to deliver at key stage 3 and 4.

This particular school support students, both male and female, with Statements of Special Education Needs for Social, Emotional and Mental Health. Currently they cater for students aged 11-19, taking students from Year 7 to Year 13. The vast majority of students come from Milton Keynes there are a small number of students from neighbouring Local Authorities on role. Currently that includes Buckinghamshire and Central Bedfordshire whilst some children in public care in Milton Keynes come to the school from Local Authorities further afield.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Excellent teaching, reflective and interpersonal skills
  • An abundance of energy, enthusiasm and character
  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or Social & Emotional Needs
  • The ability to develop others around them through support and challenge
  • Commitment, consistency and has excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of teams and be flexible
  • High quality organizational skills
  • The ability and drive to improve all student outcomes
  • Excellent subject knowledge
