The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher to join a supportive team and make a positive impact during an important stage of pupils' educational development. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that inspire confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning while maintaining high standards of teaching and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and Year 4 expectations.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform future planning.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those requiring additional support or challenge.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and pupil progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with staff to share best practice and contribute to school improvement.
- Participate in the wider life of the school and ongoing professional development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Be confident adapting lessons to support a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
- Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Be a proactive and collaborative member of staff.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and raising pupil achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
