Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Openshaw to recruit a dedicated Year 4 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

The Role

As the Year 4 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils through an important stage of their Key Stage 2 journey. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and encourages a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring every child is supported and challenged appropriately.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform planning and raise attainment.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and a love of learning.
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, events, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is passionate about helping children succeed and thrive.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Lower KS2.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
• Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations for pupil achievement.
• The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to professional development.
• A genuine passion for inspiring young learners and making a lasting impact.
