Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary School in the Bournemouth and Poole area, seeking a Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2020. You will be teaching Maths to Key Stages 3 and 4, including both GCSE and Functional Skills curriculum's. This is a full time teaching role, with time allocated for PPA. This is a small school so will be joining a small Maths department, and will have flexibility with developing schemes of work. Class sizes are small - around 6-8 pupils - so you are able to differentiate based on individuals needs. 

Ideally you should have UK QTS, however unqualified teachers with a relevant Degree and substantial UK teaching experience will be considered. You must have a good understanding of the Maths curriculum and be able to teach up to GCSE. You must have good behaviour management and be confident dealing with challenging behaviour.

This is a full time teaching role to start in September 2020. This is a temporary position for the Autumn term, however there is an opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit, catering for pupils who aren't accessing mainstream education. This is mostly due to permanent or temporary exclusions, but also includes puils with mental health needs, Autism and ADHD. Due to the nature of the school, the pupils can present challenging behaviour, however the school has excellent policies in place for this, with a high level of TA support in school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
