Teacher of Maths required Full Time

Basingstoke area of Hampshire

  • Catholic School
  • Located in Basingstoke
  • Considered to be a good school with outstanding personal development, behaviour and welfare
  • Full time for one term initially with the potential to go permanent from April 2021
  • Can consider an NQT or more experienced teacher (Must have QTS)
  • The ideal candidate should be of faith (not necessarily Catholic), however the school will consider those who are not.

The school is looking for an experienced and motivated teacher of Maths to join their growing mathematics department. This teacher will be responsible for classes in both KS3 and KS4 and will be required to plan, assess and mark for all students in their cohort as well as assist the larger department with planning and monitoring of all pupils. You will work within the school to create a friendly learning environment, with an emphasis on achievement.

As a new member of the school and department you will be on a temporary contract initially for the first term from January until April, with a permanent contract being offered in April if suitable, this  will initially be paid on a day rate equivalent to your pay scale and responsibilities before being transferred to the permanent contract at or above you pay scale depending on performance, pay will range from GBP24373 to GBP46877 per annum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
