A large secondary school located in Tameside wish to appoint a Maths teacher ahead of the new academic year.

This is an open position whereby the incoming Maths teacher will be offered a permanent post and the opportunity to join an excellent Maths department.

The incoming Maths teacher will be required take on a timetable consisting of Maths across KS3 and KS4 with pupils ranging in ability.

Highlights of this Maths teaching post;

**Pay in line with the teachers scale point M1-UPS3 £23,720-£39,406

**Permanent post within a flourishing Maths department

**Teaching students who achieve well academically and are keen to learn

**Well managed and vibrant Maths department

Essential criteria to be successful for this post;

**Hold qualified teacher status in the UK

**Suitable teaching references

**Application for a fully enhanced DBS application

**Experience delivering the Maths curriculum in the UK up to GCSE level

Located in central Tameside there are direct train routes form Manchester Piccadilly, regular bus routes for those who don't drive and access via the M60, M67 for those with access to a car.

The school is well respected in the borough for academic performance and students are respectful towards their peers and teachers. There are 850 students at this mixed sex school, low levels of students who use English as an additional language and an average number on roll who are eligible for free school meals.

The Maths department has seven full time teachers and an experienced head of department, the Maths department is well regarded throughout schools as one of the leading departments with continued sharing of good practice.

The school are conducting interviews prior to the May half term break, so you will need to be able to attend a planned lesson observation and interview process.
