Our client secondary school located in the Trafford area is looking to recruit a French and Spanish teacher to start with them at the beginning of the new academic year. The successful French and Spanish teacher will be required for the duration of a planned maternity cover for the entire 2019 - 2020 academic year. The school are keen to take on a passionate Languages specialist who can teach both Spanish and French ideally to KS4 in both languages. The successful MFL teacher will be appointed on a supply basis in the first instance with the opportunity to progress on to a school based contract given the longer term nature of this maternity cover. This will give the MFL teacher the chance to test the school out over the course of the first term and earn a school based contract based on their performance over the initial appointment.

This mixed comprehensive secondary school is at the heart of the local community, being situated in pleasant residential surroundings. The school prides itself on having a positive ethos and values top class education for all students. They are therefore looking for a MFL teacher who is able to teach high quality lessons in both French and Spanish. Being a highly regarded secondary school, students' behaviour is considered very positive with students being engaged with school life .

The MFL department at this school is relatively large with 3 French and 3 Spanish teachers given the level of uptake in languages from the offset. The Head of MFL is very supportive of all staff with applications being encouraged from all teachers including NQTs and those more experienced.

The school is located in the heart of the Trafford area, making it very easy to commute to for French and Spanish teachers travelling by public transport or car. The school is close to the local train station as well as the local metrolink tram network which services the whole of Greater Manchester. For those MFL specialists travelling by car, the school is close to the M60 and M56 motorway networks and is set in very pleasant surroundings with a large on site secure car park.
