New opportunity available for an open gap within a well-established Maths department from April 2020.
- Full time Maths teacher required, April 2020 start date.
- Initially offered for 12 months, to cover a maternity leave within a large Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school in Bury.
- Teaching Maths across all age and ability levels (KS3 and KS4).
- Pay in line with MPS and UPS standards (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490).
- Bury location - accessible via the M66 motorway.
This average sized mixed comprehensive 11-16 secondary school in Bury have a maternity leave to cover within their Maths department from April 2020. This Maths teaching opportunity will be offered for 12 months, until March 2021.
The successful candidate will be joining a secondary school that is passionate about creating an inclusive working environment for all students and staff alike. With a stable senior leadership team, the school has recently been graded 'Good' by Ofsted and will be working towards outstanding this year. GCSE results in Mathematics are in line with the expected National Average and the successful Maths teacher will be expected to give evidence of previous progress and attainment.
The successful Maths teacher will take full department responsibilities of planning and marking, as well as providing intervention sessions to targeted students and attending dedicated CPD sessions delivered by experienced professionals. Prospective applicants should hold relevant teaching qualifications and will ideally have experience of teaching GCSE maths whilst supporting a range of different learners including Pupil Premium students and pupils with SEND needs.
The school is ideally located close to a number of public transport links including bus routes and local tram stops. For drivers, the school can be accessed via the M66 motorway, with access from Ramsbottom, central Manchester and Rochdale.
