Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a small secondary Academy on the Salford/Warrington border. Due to internal promotion, the school wish to appoint a full time Mathematics teacher to join their faculty from April 2019, or sooner if possible.

This position will initially be offered on a temporary basis for one term, whereby the successful Maths teacher will have the opportunity to secure a full time permanent teaching post after this period.

The school are welcoming applications from experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers, and interviews are due to take place in February.

  • Full time Mathematics teacher required, April 2019 start or sooner if possible
  • Pay in line with teaching experience (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE, all Mathematics abilities
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position
  • Great location, Salford/Warrington border

Since 2016, the average Mathematics score has improved by 20% with 84% of all students achieving a grade 9-5 at GCSE. This is due to the implementation of intervention teachers across the Maths department, and the directed learning that is provided by the Mathematics teachers. The successful Maths teacher will be expected to plan and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils.

With 600 pupils on roll, the school is significantly smaller than average, meaning class sizes are reduced to enhance the learning experience. The school has recently been refurbished through the Salford Schools Refurbishment Project and there are now open learning areas for all core subjects.

Our client secondary school is located on the Salford/Warrington border near to the M62 motorway, and has a local train station directly outside the school gates for those without transportation. This newly built school has outstanding facilities in place to create dynamic and inclusive lessons.

All Mathematics teachers interested in this position are urged to submit a full CV straight away. For immediate consideration please submit a full CV outlining all teaching experiences to Nicola Pollitt. To obtain further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office on the phone number provided below;
