Our client secondary school in the heart of Tameside is looking for a passionate Maths teacher to join them following the Easter break. The successful Maths teacher will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Maths on a full time basis covering a maternity leave. This role will therefore be for the final term of this academic year and has the opportunity to continue into the September term aswell depending on the Maths teacher's availability.
As a full time position, the successful teacher of Mathematics will be expected to fully immerse themselves in school life, taking on all planning and marking responsibilities. The Maths department at this highly reputable secondary school is of average size with 5 Maths teachers currently working within the department. The successfully appointed Mathematics teacher will therefore have the benefit of collaborating with a team of professionals who are all highly supportive of each other.
Highlights of this Maths teaching position:
- Full time Maths teacher required starting Monday 8th April 2019
- Maternity cover for 1 term, possibly 2 into the new academic year 2019/2020

- Full planning and marking responsibilities will be included as part of this teaching position
- Applications are encouraged from teachers of any experience level including NQT to more experienced teachers
This secondary school values an all round strong education for their students ensuring that they are given the education necessary to develop their character. They are therefore looking for a Mathematics teacher who can teach enthusiastic Maths lessons, keeping students engaged with daily school life and supporting them in their journey in becoming a young adult. There will be an element of the timetable where GCSE teaching will be required so any relevant experience of teaching the KS4 curriculum will be beneficial.
This secondary school is situated in the heart of Tameside making it very easy to access via public transport and the local motorway network of M60 ring road. For those Maths teachers that drive, there is a large on site secure car park and for those on public transport, the local train station is a short walk away.
If you are a Maths teacher due to be available following the Easter break then apply now as the school will be looking to organise the replacement teacher during the spring term ahead of the start date. There could also be the opportunity to take the role on sooner during the latter half of the spring term between March and April with a handover period so please make it known if you are due to be available sooner in this time. Please apply using the link below now with your latest CV.
