Maths Teacher - January Start

I am working on the behalf of my client based secondary school in South Derbshire who are looking for a Maths Teacher to start in January 2019 - both part time and full time applications will be considered.

The Mathematics Faculty is housed in a brand new 10 classroom block with its own workspace and study room for students. The Faculty has 14 qualified teachers with a mix of age and experience. Their staffing has increased due to the increasing student numbers and they continually invest in CPD to ensure teaching is good or better.

The school Mathematics students achieve great success. Examination results have been consistently strong in recent years, with the percentage of students acquiring 9-5 in GCSE Mathematics moving from 47% to 53% in 2018. Progress 8 has moved from -0.2 to 0.15.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to:

1. Raise attainment and improve the progress of all students in Mathematics

2. Be an excellent practitioner with the ability to support and engage students to be the very best they can be

3. Ensure that students access the support required to make progress

4. Contribute to the continuing development of the Mathematics Faculty, playing a role in delivering our vision to improve teaching and learning

5. Have the desire to be part of a dynamic team, committed to moving the academy forward
