Maths Teacher - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large secondary school in Wigan to recruit a Maths teacher for a full-time role that is due to commence in September 2019.

This is an exciting role for a teacher of Maths to join a secondary school that holds a good reputation within the local community. The Headteacher at our client school seeks to appoint a Maths teacher on a temporary basis with the view to permanent employment later in the year.

Job Summary;

  • Full-time Maths teaching role - Starting in September 2019.
  • Pay in line with National MPS/UPS standards - £23,720 - £39,406
  • 12 month temporary contract with opportunity of permanent employment later in the year.
  • Complete planning and marking responsibilities to be included.
  • Interested Maths teachers urged to apply ASAP for consideration.

Due to an open gap within the schools Mathematics department, our client school are seeking applications from Maths teachers who wish to secure a permanent role in the near future. Teachers of all experience levels are encouraged to apply for this role and NQT's will be supported throughout their induction.

The Headteacher wishes to hold interviews in the coming weeks with the aim of successfully appointing for this role ahead of the new academic year. Teachers applying for the role must be confident delivering Mathematics at GCSE level and will be constantly strive to outstanding teaching practices.

The school can be found on the outskirts of the Wigan LEA, in close proximity to Leigh town centre and easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Wigan, Salford, Bolton and Manchester. The majority of pupils on roll (950) are of white British heritage, there are a average amount of EAL pupils on roll and those who are eligible for free school meals.
