Job description

Maths Teacher required at a Secondary School based in Urmston

We are working with a secondary school located in Urmston, who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive department.

The Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching Mathematics and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. The role involves teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with potential opportunities for involvement in extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources, schemes of work, and assessment plans.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour.
  • Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • A degree in Maths or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to promoting the school’s values and expectations.
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop professionally..

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
