Maths Teacher – North Manchester

Are you a Maths Teacher looking to secure your next role at an ‘Outstanding’ academy in North Manchester?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our partner secondary school in Rochdale, who are seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher from January 2020 to fill a gap in the department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teacher to take the next step in their career at an ‘Outstanding’ academy, or for a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking for an introduction to their first role.

Working as a Maths Teacher at our partner school you can expect:

  • Full time post until at least July (fixed term contract)
  • Opportunity to earn a permanent contract
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)
  • Teaching Maths up to GCSE level
  • Supportive department who are keen on collaborative planning

Our partner school is a large academy located in the Rochdale region of North Manchester. The school moved to a new build in 2011, allowing students access to fantastic, modern facilities. The school has great transport links, is easily reachable by public transport and is situated close to the M62 motorway. Being rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the school has an excellent reputation within the local community. The latest Ofsted report of our client school commented on the high standards and expectations of the students, and the impact of teaching on pupils’ progress. Our partner school also has a positive Progress 8 score, and features a very high pass rate of Maths GCSEs.

As a Maths Teacher at this ‘Outstanding’ secondary school, prospective candidates should:  

  • Hold QTS and relevant qualifications
  • Have experience teaching Maths to both KS3 and KS4 students
  • Have an ability to inspire children through high quality and engaging lessons
  • Be able to follow an up-to-date scheme of work supported through online resources
