Job description

Full-Time Maths Teacher – SEMH School (Cranborne/Wimborne Area)
Location: Cranborne/Wimborne, Dorset
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Age Range: 11–16
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in the Cranborne/Wimborne area, who are currently seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is a full-time position, teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 to pupils aged 11–16 with additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment tailored to help each student reach their full potential, and they are looking for a passionate, resilient, and enthusiastic teacher who can make a real difference.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH or a willingness to learn

  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
