Job description

Shape Futures with Maths Tuition in Clifton and the Wider Nottinghamshire Area

Are you passionate about numbers and eager to help young people grow in confidence and ability?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting Maths Tutors to support students in Clifton and surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire.

If you’re a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or someone with strong subject knowledge and a desire to make a difference, this is a chance to have a direct impact on a learner’s journey.

Your Role:

  • Deliver focused 1:1 or small group Maths tuition

  • Support learners with topics across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 (and beyond, if applicable)

  • Adapt your teaching approach to suit different abilities and learning styles

  • Help students tackle challenges in numeracy, problem-solving, exam techniques, and core mathematical concepts

  • Provide feedback to monitor progress and motivate learners

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring Maths (KS2–KS4)

  • Recognised qualifications such as QTS, PGCE, or a relevant degree are a bonus, but not essential

  • Confidence in delivering engaging, effective Maths sessions

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
