Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Maths teacher ahead of the new school year in September 2018.

The large mixed comprehensive Secondary school, based in Bolton are looking to recruit a Maths teacher to cover an upcoming Maternity leave within their Maths department.

  • Full time temporary Maths Teacher required, September 2018 start
  • 12 month maternity cover with the potential to secure a permanent position following this
  • Teaching Maths to students across Key Stage Three and GCSE
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633)
  • Must hold QTS and PGCE specialising in Maths

The successful Maths teacher will be employed on a temporary basis for 12 months to cover the Maternity leave; however there is the potential of the school being able to offer an extended contract following this due to the planned expansion across the school.

This school are keen to begin the interview process as soon as possible and are welcoming applications from Maths teachers of all experience levels. The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to:

  • Have effective behaviour management skills.
  • Be enthusiastic and deliver engaging lesson practice.
  • Hold high expectations from students and what they can achieve
  • Have the ability to stretch the learning capabilities of students no matter what the ability

The exceptional leadership of the executive Headteacher and newly appointed senior leaders has strengthened the school's capacity to raise achievement for all students

The successful Maths teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a range of lessons to students aged 11-16 and ranging in ability. Our client Secondary school currently has approximately 1300 students on roll, making it significantly larger than the average. Located in Farnworth (bordering Kearsley, Swinton and Prestwich), the school can be accessed via the M61 Motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school.
