Maths Intervention Tutor

A new opportunity within the Maths department of a large secondary school.

• Full-time Maths Intervention role.
• Large mixed secondary school in Salford.
• To start from February 2020 until the end of the academic year.
• Earn up to GBP1500 per month depending on your experience.
• Supporting pupils aged 11-16.

Our client secondary school in Salford is currently looking for an additional member of staff to support pupils who are failing to meet their targets for Maths.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide Maths support for specific students in small groups and occasionally on a 1:1 basis, when withdrawn from Maths lessons. Candidates will be expected to plan and deliver interventions to aid students’ attainment with the hopes of raising their progress and increasing their grades.

To be considered for this Maths Intervention role it is important that you have previous experience supporting children or young people with Mathematics. Any tutoring or previous intervention experience is desirable. Any experience within an educational setting or transferrable skills that can be applied to this role will also be considered acceptable.

Our partner school is located in Salford and is easily accessible from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton, Leigh and Trafford via the A580 and M62. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be accessed via public transport from areas such as Trafford, Stretford and central Manchester.
