'Outstanding' School in southeast London looking for Maths HOD

Teaching Personnel’s Permanent Workforce are in need of a qualified and passionate Maths Teacher to join a highly regarded Southeast London school with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive Inner London pay scale and commences in September 2024.

“The Maths team have created a highly effective curriculum across all key stages, that enables students to progress across all Key Stages, via a Mastery approach. This has resulted in excellent outcomes at both Key Stage 4 and 5, where students make progress and attainment that is well above national average. A Level Maths is also a very popular subject in our school 6th form, LBTS6. Those that study a Maths course at Key Stage 5 generally go on to study a related degree at university, including at Oxford and Cambridge.”

Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Previous experience leading a department

Demonstrates a proven record of success in raising student attainment in mathematics

Possesses strong classroom management and instructional skills

Exhibits a commitment to inspiring students and fostering a love for maths
