Maths Graduate for Intervention Work- Oldham

Are you a recent Maths graduate looking for your first steps into education? Are you passionate about supporting students within education?

Teaching Personnel are looking to source a high quality Maths graduate to join one of our client schools in Oldham as an intervention tutor. This exciting role is due to start as soon as possible and will last until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

• Earn between £9 and £15 per hour dependent on experience

Our client school is based in the Saddleworth area of Oldham, and is easily accessible from Oldham town centre, as well as via Tameside through Mossley. Being a short walk from a local train station and having many bus stops outside the school, it also has excellent public transport links.

The Maths department at this Ofsted graded 'Good' mixed comprehensive secondary school, have recently identified a number of students who are not reaching their full potential. The department would like to use some of their budget to recruit a Maths graduate to help support this small number of students, with a view to improve their attainment and progress across the subject. The majority of these students identified are KS4 students, but there is also a small group of KS3 students as well.

The role will involve working with 1-3 students at any one time throughout the school day. Students will be withdrawn from various other subjects to attend the intervention sessions that the prospective candidates should be able to plan and deliver. Experience of working with young people previously is desirable but not essential.
