Job description

Are you a passionate and adaptable primary teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role? We are seeking a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys variety, thrives on building relationships across different year groups, and is committed to providing high‑quality teaching and learning.

Location: Burnley
Contract: Part-Time (PPA Cover)
Start Date: As soon as possible

As our PPA Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of year groups (EYFS–KS2).
  • Ensure high standards of teaching while class teachers are out on PPA time.
  • Follow pre‑planned lessons and adapt them where needed to support pupil progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school.
  • Contribute to a happy, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS.
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident teaching across the primary curriculum.
  • Skilled at building rapport quickly with pupils.
  • Committed to maintaining positive behaviour and supporting pupil development.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently.

Experienced teachers and ECTs are both welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
