Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join our vibrant primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching across a range of year groups, covering teachers’ planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time.

As a PPA Teacher, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment. You will teach a variety of subjects following the school’s curriculum and work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ progress.

Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £120 - £140 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across different year groups and subjects.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in the classroom.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and consistency.
  • Uphold the school’s values and contribute to its inclusive and supportive ethos.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong classroom management skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A commitment to raising standards and promoting a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
